So, it had been a painfully long trek from the roof down to the second floor, but at least Valentine's lips had managed to sway his body into taking Namine away from the dance a little early and leaving his mind behind somewhere on the roof. It was all so much more interesting without his mind present, and he was somewhat certain that they had managed to ditch her mind as well.
Not that he was complaining at all as he closed the door behind them.
(For the girlfriend! I'm not sure where we're going to go with this, so read at your own discretion?)

Date: 2007-09-08 07:01 am (UTC)"I think he moved out," Valentine mused.
Which meant a room to themselves. Which was most excellent. And somewhat insane. Very insane. Why were they down here again? Oh, right, they were escaping their brains. Perhaps. Mostly.
Either way, he was still holding her close, and it was still very nice.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:03 am (UTC)This was not a very respectable sort of situation. Considering the way she was feeling at this moment, at least.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:06 am (UTC)One of his hands fumbled behind him and locked the door, just to make certain that his brain couldn't catch up. One could never be too sure. Brains were sneaky things when they wanted to be.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:10 am (UTC)What was wrong with her? Why did she never know what she wanted, never want it once she got it, why had she wanted to be here, alone with him, and now that she was, why did she want to be somewhere, anywhere, else?
"Or perhaps I should bid you a good night. It is terribly late, and we should sleep so that we can go to detention. In the morning. It might be early. I wouldn't know, I've never gone before." Did her words sound this jumbled and confused to him, too?

Date: 2007-09-08 07:19 am (UTC)"I can't dance," he mumbled. That, at least, covered the first point. That was about as far as his lips could think to speak before they were leaning forward to cover hers again.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:22 am (UTC)She shouldn't be here. And she shouldn't be placing her arms around his neck and kissing him, just a little more, either.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:28 am (UTC)"That was dancing?"
She could be here for as long as she wanted to be. He gave her his heart, she could have his room, if she wanted, too. And another kiss. Here, have another kiss. There are plenty more where that came from, yes. We could dance again, too? Or sway, or whatever that was.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:32 am (UTC)Or ignoring it. She hadn't been listening, up on the roof, when his lips had covered hers and there was that strange surge again, and now she was the one kissing a little more insistently, pulling him closer and wishing she didn't ever need to stop for air. Why couldn't people breathe through their ears? It would be ever so useful when she was nipping lightly at his lips and drowning and he must think her mad, the way she went on like this.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:38 am (UTC)Really, with the way she was kissing him, his lips were quite content to continue ignoring his mind's pleas to be let back inside.
His hands decided that this was quite good, took a moment to work off a bit of shaking- perhaps they were laughing at his brain- and then started to wander the length of her back. To pass the time, or something. His lips weren't paying attention to them, either.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:45 am (UTC)One of her hands wandered up slightly to play with the ends of his hair, and could she not think about them being alone or the way she felt when he kissed her, please?

Date: 2007-09-08 07:55 am (UTC)His lips decided that kissing at her lips was, although quite satisfying, not quite what they wanted to be doing at the moment, and so they took a bit of a detour down to her chin for a moment, and then decided to take a bit of a stroll themselves, along her jawline.
His brain continued to try to beat the door down- he knew what they were doing in there, and it wasn't right, was it? Maybe? But his brain was still being ignored quite blatantly.

Date: 2007-09-08 07:59 am (UTC)"You know," she said conversationally, "I have a feeling this is a rather bad idea."
She closed her eyes again, tangling her fingers in his coat. Which was helpful, as her knees felt unsteady, just now.

Date: 2007-09-08 08:02 am (UTC)"Which," kiss, "part," kiss, "of it," kiss, kiss, kiss, "is a rather bad idea?"
He hoped it wasn't the kissing part. He was pretty certain that he rather liked the kissing part.

Date: 2007-09-08 08:12 am (UTC)His lips didn't much care for his senses, which is why they were nibbling at her neck for what seemed like an eternity before they replied, brushing against her throat because they didn't dare move away.
"You suggested we leave the dance," he mumbled breathily, surprisingly actually a little coherent. "And we did, and we could stop, if you insisted," his lips didn't really want to leave her throat alone, though.
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 08:15 am (UTC)Trying to remember took attention away from those delicious nibbles, and so she decided to stop that right away.
"And you d-didn't answer my question," she added. To hopefully distract from how she wasn't answering his question, or the implied one: did she want him to stop? She didn't have an answer for that.
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 08:25 am (UTC)"There was a question?" His brain was still outside the door, asking nicely to be let back in. "About this being a... an idea? I suppose it's..." Oooh, that was a nice spot to nip at, right there by her ear, "it could be a bad idea, depending on your idea of what 'bad' is."
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 04:49 pm (UTC)Unless you tilted it the other way: unfair of her, to try to converse with him while he was so clearly occupied with nibbling.
She shuddered when he nipped under her ear. "You're hedging," she said softly. "Do you ... think it's a bad idea? ... For any definition of 'bad'."
She wasn't certain why she wanted an answer to that. She just felt that she should have one.
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 06:23 pm (UTC)"Well," he whispered, "there's a good sort of bad, and a bad sort of bad. The good bad leaves us satisfied," he reasoned, "and can be as bad or as not so bad as you'd like it to be. The bad bad would involve us being stupid."
Valentine wasn't certain at the moment what the definition of stupid actually was. But it seemed like the right thing to say at the time.
"There's no reason we have to be stupid about any of this."
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 06:33 pm (UTC)"Satisfied?" she asked, softly, shivering as the word came out. "Perhaps I'd like to be stupid. I worry and think and tangle myself in circles and somehow it only unravels properly when I do something impulsive and irrational."
Her hand was now tracing along his cheek, and her knees wavered and the rest spilled out of her. "I feel alive when you kiss me."
no subject
Date: 2007-09-08 06:43 pm (UTC)Those were the best kisses. The ones that took the two of them and filled the big, gaping emptiness in them with some fragment of the other so that they were both complete.
So, really, all of them.
"Being alive isn't just breathing and thinking and rationalizing yourself into a tangle, it's about letting yourself live."

Date: 2007-09-08 07:12 pm (UTC)And when the kiss had ended, he didn't even bother to take a moment to catch his breath before he started nipping and kissing and pausing every now and again to let his tongue dart out to find out what this part of her neck or that part of her neck might taste like. His hands also seized on the opportunity, running down her back once again, a little more firmly, not just for the sake of being there, but for the sake of feeling a hint at what might be underneath the fabric of that dress of hers.
